Your truck’s maintenance log will tell you that it is important to get your oil changed on a regular basis. That’s because oil not only lubricates your engine’s parts, it also works to keep it clean from dust, dirt and other contaminates. When the oil gets used up and dirty, it needs to be changed.

However, there are two kids of oil: synthetic and conventional and it’s vital to know the difference and know which to use. Synthetic oil is a special mix of chemicals and additives created in a lab by skilled experts which is mostly used by high performance vehicles, while conventional oil is a mix of naturally created oils made for low mileage vehicles that aren’t driven much.

If you need help determining which of these oils to use in your truck or when to change your oil, talk to us at your truck dealership and we’ll be glad to assist you.
