The Ford F-150 is Still Tough

For decades, the F-150 has been a popular choice among full-sized pickup owners. The trucks are durable, reliable and capable. The newest models feature upgrades that make the vehicles more appealing than ever. See the latest F-150 trucks at our Bo Beuckman Quality Ford facility. Treat yourself to a test drive.

The heavy-duty F-150 is constructed using a special high-strength aluminum-alloy that is commonly used for military vehicles. The metal is heat-treated to harden. The metal can be used in the thickness desired without adding weight. The aluminum-alloy is also dent resistant. The truck box and its bed are built from high-strength steel. The cross beams that provide support are larger than in previous models. Yet, the frame is lighter in weight.

Equip a new F-150 with one of two six-cylinder engines to get a towing rating of 11,400 to 13,200 pounds. Get even more power by choosing a model with a 5.0-liter, eight-cylinder engine.
