Why the Ford Maverick hybrid stands out in Town and Country
XL and XLT come standard with the 2.5L full hybrid, which makes 191 combined horsepower, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive available. Lariat pairs the hybrid with standard AWD, while Lobo and Tremor use the 2.0L EcoBoost and Advanced 4WD.
That is sedan fuel economy with an open bed behind the cab. The bed handles the messy weekend jobs, then the hybrid goes back to sedan-like city mileage on Monday.

The standard tow rating is 2,000 pounds. Add the 4K Tow Package and that rises to 4,000, along with a Class III receiver, four- and seven-pin connectors, a trailer brake controller and upgraded cooling. For 2026, both the 2.0L EcoBoost and the all-wheel-drive hybrid can reach that 4,000-pound maximum when properly equipped. The 2.0L brings 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. It is the pick if the hybrid does not feel strong enough with a trailer behind you.
